Some Questions and Answers:
Do I need to make or buy tools to perform rituals?
No..Most Witches and Wiccans will tell you that most any substitution will work in a pinch. There was a time when tools were actually forbidden and could be used as proof against you in a Witchcraft trial (a bad thing). Tools are handy as a key or focal point when starting out, but substitutions are allowed. If you wish to buy some fine tools click here.
Is there a difference between Witches and Wiccans?
Yes.....and no. Wiccans often refer to themselves as Witches, but the truth is the word Wicca was probably conceived in the fifties, some say it's the old world term for "wise", but there is no evidence of this. In fact there is some evidence to dispute it. Witchcraft however is an old Christian term even though the actual religion predates the birth of Christ.
Do real Witches charge for there services?
Some do, some don't, depends on materials cost, how well they know you, or often how much time they devote. Everyone has to eat. Most real Witches will answer questions for free, and certainly want you to do well.
Do I need to have a magikal or animal name to practice Wicca?
This is one of those things of if it feels good do it! With enough study and practice a familiar (kindred animal) will find you. Until then don't worry to much about it. There are probably to many Ravens and Wolves anyway.
Is there some place that I can study, with people to help me, and be truthful?
Yes, of course, we offer that in the form of study/conversation groups for local students. If you are not from this area we can recommend you to a group in your area, or even free inter-net courses. Be fore warned, you must be serious and work hard to obtain the results you would like to have.
